Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team - "Semper Paratus"

04/04/13 @ 18:05 – Falmouth CRT tasked to assist Lizard Lifeboat in the recovery of a 4m RHIB that had been found drifting in the channel off Lizard Point.

4 Team members attended the CRS and assisted recovery from the ILB slipway and collected the numbers etc from the vessel. These details were passed to Falmouth MRCC and joined up with a job from Solent MRCC (from the 12th March!!!) where a vessel had reported a mssing tender.

This was confirmed as the missing RHIB and we secured it awaiting collection from the owner / insurance company.

Considering this vessel had travelled over 200 miles on its own, it was in remarkably good condition with hopefully only minor engine damage.

Team released and closed down by 19:15
